Dementia Awareness Week starts Monday
BEMIDJI--Northwoods Caregivers and the ACT on Alzheimer's Giiwidenong Committee have announced events for this year's Dementia Awareness Week, which starts Monday.
BEMIDJI-Northwoods Caregivers and the ACT on Alzheimer's Giiwidenong Committee have announced events for this year's Dementia Awareness Week, which starts Monday.
Topic discussions will be held at several Bemidji locations, Adult Day Services, 620 Carr Lake Road SE; Bemidji Senior Activity Center, 216 Third St. NW, Bemidji Public Library, 509 America Ave. NW and Neilson Place, 1000 Anne St. NW.
Topics including "The Basics on Dementia," "Healthy Living for you Brain & Body" and "Caregivers' Lessons Learned" will be presented throughout the week. For a full schedule of events and educational opportunities, visit www.northwoodscaregivers.org .
On Saturday, Sept. 22, the Walk to End Alzheimer's will be held at 9 a.m. at the Sanford Center.
