WAUBUN, Minn. -- A 25-year-old Crookston man died in a two-vehicle collision at 9:23 a.m. Sunday in Mahnomen County.
The Minnesota State Patrol has identified the victim as Nathan Boe.
According to a report, Boe was driving a 1998 Chevy Lumina southbound on 200th Avenue, approaching Mahnomen County Highway 113, east of Waubun, at a high rate of speed when he failed to stop at a stop sign. His vehicle was struck by a westbound 1996 Chevy Club Cab pickup driven by James Salyer, 68, Madison, Miss.
Salyer and a passenger in his vehicle, Sheila Salyer, 65, Madison, Miss., were taken to Essentia Hospital, Fargo, for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Department, White Earth Police Department, Mahnomen Ambulance and White Earth Ambulance.
Waubun is about 10 miles south of Mahnomen, Minn.
