The following cases were heard on July 27, 2015 by Beltrami District Judge Paul T. Benshoof:
Rogers Kenneth Davis, 21, of Cass Lake was convicted of felony third-degree possession of methamphetamine and sentenced to 30 days local confinement in Beltrami County Jail which may be served on work release or sentence to serve if eligible. Davis has been credited with six days time served. He has been placed on 20 years supervised probation upon successful completion will result in a misdemeanor conviction. Davis must pay a $1,000 fine.
Delores June Fineday, 47, of Pennington was granted a statutory stay of adjudication for fifth-degree possession of Suboxone. Fineday was sentenced to 30 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail which may be served on work release or sentence to serve if eligible. She has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion will result in a dismissal of the charge.
Sheila Renae Garbow, 38, of Bemidji was convicted of felony check forgery and gross misdemeanor giving peace officer a false name. Garbow was sentenced to 15 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Shakopee, which is stayed for five years, for the forgery charge. She must serve 70 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail. Garbow has been credited with 47 days time served. Garbow has been placed on five years supervised probation and must pay a $1,000 fine which may be paid through community service. Garbow was sentenced to 365 days local confinement for the false name charge of which 295 days are stayed for two years. She must serve 70 days and has been credited with 47 days time served. Garbow has been placed on two years supervised probation and must pay a $50 fine.
Cheyanne Marie Oppegard, 25, of Bemidji was granted a statutory stay of adjudication for fifth-degree possession of controlled substance and sentenced to 30 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail which may be served on work release or sentence to serve if eligible. Oppegard has been credited with four days time served. She has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion will result in a dismissal of the charge.

Fredrick White, 44, of Crookston was convicted of driving after cancellation and first-degree refusal to test. White was sentenced to 72 months in the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud for the test failure charge. He will be on conditional release for five years following confinement. White has been credited with 67 days time served. He must pay a $50 fine. White was sentenced concurrently to 365 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail for the driving after cancellation charge. He has been credited with 67 days time served and must pay a $50 fine.
Jonas Wayne Wilson, 19, of Bemidji was granted a statutory stay of adjudication for fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine and sentenced to 10 days local confinement in the Beltrami County Jail. Wilson has been credited with four days time served. He has been placed on five years supervised probation upon successful completion will result in a dismissal of the charge.
