Despite a small break in the next several hours, Carletta said the cold temperatures around the northern Minnesota region will likely continue.
“We are looking to warm up a little bit into tomorrow, with some snow coming, too,” Carletta said. “Once that system moves through, though, we are going to see a return to the cold temperatures this weekend, with Saturday looking especially cold.”
Once 2018 comes around, though, Carletta said the frigid air might let up, though.
“Moving into next week, there are some signs that temperatures may get back above zero again,” Carletta said. “More cold is on the way, but there’s some light at the end of the tunnel.”
