BEMIDJI -- A Home Alone course that will teach children how to handle different situations when left home alone will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19 at the Public Works Facility, 1351 Fifth St. NW. Cost is $10.
Participants will learn basic first aid skills and information about injury prevention and health including rescue breathing, choking and poison control, a release said. The program is put on with the help from the Bemidji Police and Fire departments. A light snack and a first aid kit will be provided.
