The Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area announced the winner of the "Help a Kid Thrive, Win a Sweet Ride" raffle on Tuesday.

Jim Toninato won a 2012 Chevy Equinox when his name was pulled from the raffle by retired Bemidji State hockey coach Bob Peters during the second intermission of the BSU men's hockey game at the Sanford Center on Saturday.

Toninato was born and raised in Bemidji, graduated from Bemidji High School in 1982. His name was drawn from a pool of 1,600 tickets.

The Boys and Girls Club will be closed to after school programs the week of March 5-9.
