Bemidji JCPenny store to remain open amid bankruptcy closures

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji J.C. Penney location will remain open as it escaped a round of store closings amid the company's bankruptcy proceeding. On Thursday, the company released a list of 154 stores that will close.

The Minnesota stores that will be closing are:

  • Riverdale Village, in Coon Rapids
  • Eden Prairie Center, in Eden Prairie
  • Grove Square Shopping Center, in Maple Grove
  • Kandi Mall, in Willmar
