The number of students attending Oshki Manidoo, located at 1741 15th St. N.W., increased to 18 students in January.
Bemidji School District will seek approval to add a half-time teacher licensed to teach secondary math and science at the school at its meeting at 4:30 p.m., Feb. 22, in the Bemidji High School Media Center.
In other business, the School Board will recommend that it purchase three transit style buses and one special needs bus. The combined cost of all four transits, after trade-in allowance, is $383,139.
The school board will also recommend Kyle McMartin to replace Ami Aalgaard, who was promoted to Dean of Students, as a sixth-grade science teacher.
Several grants will be sought approval of. A Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant will be used to hire excavation and purchase materials to build and install an open-air amphitheater at Lincoln Elementary School.

The Home Depot's Building Healthy Communities grant will be used to purchase materials to build and install a freestanding stage deck for the amphitheater.
A Statewide Health Improvement Program Grant and a grant from Project Orange Thumb will provide financial support for a school garden at Solway Elementary School.
