The Beltrami County Republican Party will hold its county convention Saturday at Northern Elementary School.
The convention begins at 9 a.m., and convention delegates are those delegates elected at the Feb. 2 GOP precinct caucuses.
The key item of business is electing delegates to attend the 7th and 8th Congressional District conventions, and the State Republican Convention.
The district conventions will endorse candidates to run against incumbent DFLers Rep. Collin Peterson in the 7th and Rep. Jim Oberstar in the 8th. The State Convention will endorse a candidate for governor, which is up for grabs as Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty is not seeking re-election.
Candidates for congressional district and governor usually make the rounds of county conventions and could appear Saturday at the Beltrami County Convention.

Delegates will also consider proposed changes to the county party constitution and resolutions for changes to the state party platform.
