On July 25-26, 19 energetic athletes between 10 and 14 years of age and 10 coaches from five different Nordic ski programs across Wisconsin and Minnesota gathered at the Bemidji State Park for the Igor Legacy Camp. The goal of the Igor Legacy Camps includes promoting fun and fitness, and an enthusiasm for Nordic skiing as a life-long sport. The kids learned the benefits of running, ski walking and bounding, participated in classic and skate roller skiing techniques, and dryland technique drills. The camp also had presentations teaching the kids how to understand training levels and the importance of teamwork
