Bemidji rock band Afilio is competing in the Ernie Ball Music Man Battle of the Bands, which features online voting.

The top 20 bands by fan vote in each of about 50 cities will be reviewed by judges who will then select four bands to play live in those cities on the 2007 Vans Warped tour.

Afilio is vying to be one of the four bands that will compete July 29 at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

Afilio's profile is at battleofthebands.com/afiliomn, where fans can cast their votes. Several songs are also on the site. Fans can listen to the songs or purchase downloads.

To vote, register an e-mail address on the site. Each registered address may vote for one band for the duration of the battle. For more details, visit battleofthebands.com,.

The Ernie Ball Music Man Battle of the Bands, which began in 1996, features unsigned and independent artists in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia. Bands may enter by May 18.
