3 injured in Beltrami County crash
QUIRING TOWNSHIP -- Three people were injured in a one-car crash early Saturday in Beltrami County.
The crash was reported at 6:19 a.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. The patrol said a 2006 Pontiac driven by Sabrina Nelson, 21, of Ponemah, was eastbound on state Highway 1 when the car left the roadway and struck the embankment.
Nelson and her passengers, Matthew Johnson, 23, of Ponemah, and a 16-year-old female all were wearing their seat belts; Nelson and Johnson suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while the injuries for the 16-year-old were not listed. All three were taken to Bemidji for treatment. Road conditions were listed as wet, the Patrol’s report said.
Also assisting at the scene was the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Department. Quiring Township is about 35 miles north of Bemidji, just south and east of the Red Lake Indian Reservation.
