Trisha Newland, human resources and safety coordinator of Knife River Materials, presents Joan Berntson, vice president for advancement of Oak Hills Christian College, with a check for Oak Hills student scholarships. More than $500,000 was granted to education requests last year by MDU Resources, the foundation arm of Knife River Materials. The scholarships, which will be given to students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in applied psychology or business administration, are a part of the $500,000 Oak Hills awards to students through scholarships and grants.
