BEMIDJI -- The “Safest Way Pipe Tour” stopped in Bemidji on Friday evening to allow members of the community to sign a large section of pipe in support of the Enbridge Line 3 replacement project.

The event, held at the Hampton Inn and Suites, was hosted by the Minnesota Ag Energy Alliance, coalitions and labor unions to share information about the pipeline project.

The “Safest Way" pipe has made its way through several Minnesota communities already. Enbridge plans to take it along the entire route of the pipeline in an effort to educate those along the way and allow Minnesotans to show their support. Enbridge is looking to replace the current Line 3, which runs near Bemidji, with a new pipeline.
