September 11, 2009 -- People with memory illnesses have a new place to consider calling home. North Country Health Services unveiled Trillium Memory Care in an open house for the secure senior living facility, which comprises 18 studios and nine one-bedroom apartments. Part of Woods Edge Senior Living Campus, Trillium is adjacent to Nielson Place.

September 11, 1994 -- Jon, a convicted felon, works in a Minnesota nursing home. He is a success story says Mike Fall, Jon's probation officer, and a win for the Minnesota Department of Corrections intensive supervision program. Fall and his partner, Dick Allen, agents for the DOC regional office in Bemidji, work out of their cars all year monitoring felons out on probation.

September 11, 1969 -- Bemidji Police Officer Roger Chwialkowski surveyed the damage to two cars involved in an accident on the corner of Fifth and Irvine. A 1967 Chevrolet was struck by a 1948 Chevrolet. The '48 Chev was listed as a total loss, while the newer car sustained $500 damage. No one was hurt in the accident.

September 11, 1919 -- An interesting and important feature of the Beltrami County Fair will be the Southern Beltrami County chapter of the American Red Cross booth. Every visitor to the fair is given a most cordial invitation to call at the Red Cross booth, gather an insight of the work, which is being done or secure information which may be of value to returned soldiers.
