BEMIDJI-Here's a look at some events this week at Lake Bemidji State Park, 3401 State Park Road NE.

• Thursday, June 20: Storytime: Eagles Playground, 10 to 11 a.m., at the park playground. Children will meet at the playground to listen to a story about eagles and help construct a life-size eagle nest. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

• Friday, June 21: Kids Fishing Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Join the Lake Bemidji State Park naturalists as they venture out on the pontoon. The fishing group is limited to nine anglers, ages 8-15. Sign up at the park office or call (218) 308-2300. Check in at the park office at least 15 minutes prior to departure; program starts at the Fish Cleaning Shelter. Non-resident youth need to have a youth fishing license.

• Saturday, June 22: In honor of National Eagle Day, there will be a series of events held throughout the day. From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. children can meet at the playground to listen to a story about eagles and make an eagle craft to take home. The children can also help construct a life-size eagle nest. All children must be accompanied by an adult. There will be a guided tour to a nearby eagles nest from 4 to 4:30 p.m. Meet at the visitor center.

• Sunday, June 23: Music Under the Pines: 2 to 3 p.m. Not Your Average Family Band will be performing at the amphitheater. Two families come together to form the Not Your Average Family Band. Together they bring fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass, and vocals to create a bluegrass/country sound. Sponsored by the North Country Snowmobile Club of Bemidji.
