In honor of National Smile Month this June, Delta Dental of Minnesota is donating approximately 50,000 toothbrushes to Boys and Girls Clubs throughout the state, including 5,616 to Boys and Girls Clubs in the Bemidji region. To improve oral health care and build awareness throughout the month of June, Delta Dental of Minnesota is partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs on this initiative as a way to reach young people throughout the state and promote healthy lifestyles, a release said.
The toothbrushes will be given to youth and their families participating in Boys and Girls Clubs programs at 11 sites including Bemidji, Cass Lake, Detroit Lakes, Duluth, Elk River, Minneapolis, Perham, the Red Lake Reservation, Rochester, St. Cloud and the White Earth Reservation. Donations in the Bemidji region include 1,440 toothbrushes to the Boys and Girls Club of the Bemidji Area, 1,440 to the Boys and Girls Club of the Leech Lake Area and 2,736 to the Red Lake Nation Boys and Girls Club.
Delta Dental is in the process of building a new facility in Bemidji, located in Technology Park, west of U.S. Highway 71 and north of Anne Street. The facility is on track to be completed in September.
