Bemidji Middle School has announced the fourth-quarter artists of the quarter are sixth-graders Joushua Robinson and Lily Larson.

Robinson says his favorite media to work with is clay, specifically throwing on the wheel. He says that for something to be considered art, it has to have been created and have meaning. The thing he enjoys about making art is showing other students that it's fun, and that's one of the reasons he likes making art himself.

Larson says that her favorite media to work with is paint. She says that in order for something to be art, the creator of the work just has to think it is art. The thing she enjoys the most about making art is that you think about what you are going to make, then you make it, and then it turns out good. Larson makes art because it relaxes her and gives her joy.
