Pittman to speak on the science of sleep
PARK RAPIDS -- Headwaters Center for Lifelong Learning concludes its spring series with Dr. Diane Pittman speaking on, “Sleep and Health: Dream Your Way to a Better Brain,” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the Park Theatre, 1862, 107 Main Ave. S.
Pittman is a family medicine specialist in Bemidji who has been practicing for 34 years. She graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1982. She will explore the way the science of sleep has exploded in recent years as it reveals impact on memory, immune system, weight, aging and more. The program is open to the public, free of charge and handicap accessible. HCLL programs will resume in September.
