BCHS Monday evening lecture series
BEMIDJI -- The Beltrami County Historical Society presents the third in a series of Monday evening lectures in March. Micah Carpenter will speak on ‘The Spread of Early Christianity and the Power of Unity,’ at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 18, at the Bemidji Public Library, 509 America Ave. NW.
Carpenter, a lifelong Bemidji resident, holds a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies and pastoral ministry from Oak Hills Christian College and a master’s degree in Christian thought from Bethel Seminary and is completing a thesis for a master’s degree in divinity studies.
Examining the historical record and some of the writings of the New Testament, this presentation will involve reflections on how people, in our own time of social divisions and conflicts, can seek to build common ground with one another.
The free event is hosted by the Beltrami County Historical Society in partnership with the Bemidji Public Library.
