New BARC teams graduate

In partnership with Paul Bunyan Dog Training Association, the Bemidji Area Reading Canine (BARC) program recently announced two new teams that have completed the required training. They are; Dawn Kovakovich and Breezy and Nancy Warne and Jill.

They will be joining the other BARC teams in serving children at the Boys and Girls Club of Bemidji, Bemidji Middle School, Schoolcraft Learning Community, Cass Lake/Bena Elementary School, Laporte Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary, Central Elementary and the Bemidji Public Library. Bemidji Area Reading Canine (BARC) dogs are therapy dogs that volunteer with their owner/handlers as a team, going to schools, libraries and many other settings as reading companions for children.
