Civil Air Patrol to hold open house Monday
BEMIDJI—The Civil Air Patrol Northland Composite Squadron, an official civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force, is having an informational meeting for the public Monday, Nov. 12, to recruit new members.
The event will take place at the squadron's hangar at Bemidji Regional Airport and will allow individuals to meet members and learn first-hand what it's like to be a cadet or a senior member with the unit. Opportunities with the Civil Air Patrol include leadership development, flying, search and rescue training, drug prevention efforts and aerospace education.
Along with informational sessions, a police K9 demonstration will also take place at 6:30 p.m.
