BENA -- Free medical care will be available to the public July 10-19 in Bena.

The U.S. Army Reserve Medical Command will provide physical exams, school and sports physicals and general medical care; dental exams, tooth extractions and fillings; and comprehensive eye exams.

The program, called Operation Walking Shield, creates training opportunities for military personnel, while also providing services to reservations. The July services are sponsored by Indian Health Services and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The clinic is open to everyone and will be located at the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig School at 15353 Silver Eagle Drive NW.
