City to offer Kids’ Kitchen after-school program

BEMIDJI -- The Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will host the program After School Kids’ Kitchen from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays from Jan. 4 until March 8. In the hands-on cooking class, children will learn to make tasty after-school snacks. They also will explore the science behind some of the food they make, a press release said. Each participant will get an apron to take home. The program is for children ages 7 to 12. There is room for 10 participants. Cost is $50 per participant for the eight-week program, which will be held at the Public Works Facility 1351 5th St NW.
