Christmas Luncheon planned for Dec. 11

BEMIDJI—The Christian Women's Christmas luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, in the Eagles Club main meeting room, 1270 Neilson Ave. SE. The Trek North Choir, under the direction of Talia Zieman with Wayne Hoff as accompanist, will perform Christmas songs. Memories of Christmas will be shared by former CWC Chairwoman Ruth Lafontaine. There will be the annual Christmas bake sale at the end of the meeting. Attendees are encouraged to bring baked treats to donate to the bake sale, a press release said. Our Savior's Lutheran hosts Christmas tea

LEONARD—Our Savior's Lutheran in Leonard will host its annual Christmas Tea at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 The tea will have a Scandinavian flair this year with a speaker on Norwegian Rosemaling and a lunch with many traditional Norwegian foods, a press release said. Attendees are encouraged to bring a mug filled with goodies for exchange. The event is free.

Bemidji Area Aglow meets Dec. 9

BEMIDJI—Bemidji Area Aglow will meet on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Beltrami Electric from 10 a.m. to noon. With 20 years of experience in life coaching and personal ministry, Barb Juhnke teaches about why bad things happen to good people and how to break negative generational cycles in life, a press release said. The public is encouraged to come learn how to break these patterns and reclaim God's destiny for their families and future generations, the release said.

Calvary Lutheran Church hosts Christmas concert

BEMIDJI—Calvary Lutheran Church, 2508 Washington Ave. SE, will host a community Christmas Concert at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10. Those performing for the concert will include Deb McGregor, Anne Meredith, Kristi Tell-Miller and Miriam Tell, Kari Pickett and Rachel Munson, Bell Ringers from Calvary and First Presbyterian Church, Joe Vene, the Calvary Choir, and the Calvary Youth Jazz Group, among others. Treats will follow. Tickets are available in the Calvary church office or at the door. The suggested ticket price is $5.
