BEMIDJI-A Bemidji man has pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal sexual conduct in Beltrami County District Court.
Kyle Johnson, 29, formerly of Cass Lake, was arrested in May after an 8-year-old girl told her mother and grandmother Johnson had molested her on several occasions. Johnson denied the allegations when he was arrested May 19.
Johnson pleaded guilty Sept. 16 to two counts of felony second-degree criminal sexual conduct. Second-degree criminal sexual conduct carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $35,000 fine. Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 16. He is being held in the Beltrami County Jail on $50,000 conditional bail.
