George Raylynn Bristow, 59, of Bemidji, died on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Neilson Place in Bemidji.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji with Dr. Mark Christianson officiating.
He was born on Oct. 30, 1947, to Carl and Elma (Groover) Bristow, in Indianapolis, Ind. He was raised and educated in Indianapolis, graduating from Ben Davis High School. He worked for General Motors in Indianapolis, until moving to Bemidji in 1970. He began his career as a carpenter, installing siding and roofing. He continued to work until spring of this year.
He was a talented workman, and could build about anything. He was a member of the Bemidji Elk's Lodge. He enjoyed golfing and hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Ross) Conkle of Bemidji, Georgia (Bill) Martin of Bemidji, Winnie (Jim) Himebaugh of Morgantown, Ind. and Carlena Williams of Lebanon, Ind.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Connie Bristow.
