Family thankful for help during grief

Leon Jenkauski's family would like to thank the Beltrami Sheriff's department for locating and returning our stolen property. During our preparation for his funeral Leon's unfinished "dream car" was stolen along with the two-wheeled car trailer. The sheriff's department found and returned the now-undriveable car, but the car trailer used to move and hide it is still unaccounted for. Following the holidays, our two snowmobiles were stolen. When they were found by the Beltrami County Sheriff's Department and returned, they were undriveable. We would like to thank the community and especially our family at the Evangelical Covenant Church. Your love and support at this difficult time was appreciated. Thanks for the prayers, hugs, words of comfort, Leon stories, beautiful cards, food and financial gifts. We have used the money to buy and plant memorial trees, plant a garden and for the food shelf and the Special Olympics. Special thank you to my neighbor Rick for keeping up with the snow this winter. His faithful help allowed me to teach in Clearbrook regardless of weather. Leon will be remembered and missed.

Bemidji Lions Club thanks contributors

The Bemidji Lions Club wishes to thank all of the local area businesses that provided items for the 60th Annual Lions Fare Auction on Saturday, July 30. Also, a huge thank you to all those who came and enjoyed the chicken dinners to support this event!

This is the largest fundraiser that the Bemidji Lions Club puts on each year, thus is crucial to the annual Lions budget which supports programs in sight, hearing and diabetes as well as 25 local charities.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
