BEMIDJI — Headwaters Music and Arts will host a summer sampler of the Music and Movement class for young musicians, ages 5-7, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. on Thursdays, Aug. 4-25, at Headwaters, 519 Minnesota Ave. NW.

Led by Suzuki-trained and long-time music teacher Julia Anderson, the four-session class will explore music through songs and movement while introducing students to a variety of instruments, a release said.

The group will focus on learning the building blocks of music such as rhythm, tempo, dynamics and more that will all be valuable tools regardless of the students’ next steps on their musical journey.

The cost to participate is $75 per child with limited financial assistance available. Space is limited so advance registration is required.
