BEMIDJI — Gallery North will host a First Friday Open House reception to view Showcase Artist Debra Krueger’s exhibit titled “Slice of My Life" from 2 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at Gallery North, 210 Fourth St. NW.

"Krueger loves taking pictures of God's beautiful creation," a release said. "Flora, fauna, family, friends and faith are special and she loves to capture and share them, with a focus on macros with an eye for seeing things others may not notice; even pond scum has a special beauty."

She also writes poetry and puts them together with her photography to celebrate both mediums.

Art students from TrekNorth Junior and Senior High School will also be on display during the open house.
