BEMIDJI — Applications are now open for arts affiliates located in Beltrami, Hubbard, Lake of the Woods, Clearwater and Mahnomen Counties to apply for a $3,000 Community Arts Support grant.
The funding this grant provides is intended to support arts affiliates in strengthening their operations. Region 2 Arts Council defines an arts affiliate as an established arts entity that is hosted within a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, within a nonprofit college or university or within a city or tribal government. While arts activity is central to an arts affiliate’s mission, a host organization’s primary mission is often focused on something other than the arts, a release said.
