Bemidji Area Church Musicians to hold recital Aug. 10

The 35th season of the Bemidji Area Church Musicians Summer Recital Series continues at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Evangelical Free Church, 115 Carr Lake Road SW.

BEMIDJI — The 35th season of the Bemidji Area Church Musicians Summer Recital Series continues at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Evangelical Free Church, 115 Carr Lake Road SW.

The recital will feature Miriam Webber on bassoon, showcasing compositions for unaccompanied solo bassoon.

Webber has been at Bemidji State University for six years and is an assistant professor of music. She is also the principal bassoon for the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra and for Heartland Symphony Orchestra in Little Falls, a release said.

A luncheon will follow the recital with a price to be announced.

The event is free and open to the public, a free-will offering will be received at the door for the scholarship programs of the BACM.
