SECTION 00 1113 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CASS LAKE HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY CASS LAKE, MINNESOTA Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the Board of Commissioners for the Cass Lake Housing & Redevelopment Authority, Cass Lake, Minnesota at the Office of the Executive Director, at the Four Seasons Apartment building, 225 First Street NW, PO Box 397, Cass Lake, MN 56633, until 11:00 A.M. Local Time, on WEDNESDAY, MAY 18, 2022 for the Four Seasons Apartments Interior Finishes Replacement project. At that time, said Bids will be carried to the Four Seasons Office Conference Room and publicly opened, read aloud and tabled for review and subsequent action. All bids must be prepared on the form provided by the Architect and submitted in accordance with the Instructions To Bidders (HUD-5369 and Section 002113). Bids are to be addressed to Mr. Ken Moen at the aforesaid address and are to be in a sealed opaque envelope clearly marked on the outside identifying the project name. The Bid package scope includes replacement of existing floor and wall finishes, removal and reinstallation of handrails, new wall signage, and lighting replacement with new LED fixtures in most public spaces within the 3-story apartment building. The Cass Lake Housing and Redevelopment Authority encourages small and minority owned businesses, women business enterprises and other businesses that are certified under Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968 (will employ and train low and very low income persons residing in the Cass Lake area) to submit their bids for this project. Each bid over $25,000 must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond secured by a Surety Company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, payable to the Owner; as liquidated damages and warranty that the successful bidder will enter into and fulfill his contract and furnish the usual Bonds (Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond) as required by the Specifications within three (3) days after Notice of Award of Contract. No bids may be withdrawn within forty-five (45) days from the scheduled closing time for receiving bids without the consent of the Owner.
