NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a special meeting and public hearing to take input from Beltrami County and the public as to whether, under the Township Zoning Ordinance and Minn. Stat. § 462.357, Subd. 1e:
1. Beltrami County must apply for a Township gravel pit conditional use permit ("CUP") to lawfully conduct gravel pit operations in parcel 48.00100.00;
2. Continued gravel pit operations by Beltrami County in parcel 48.00100.00 violate the Township Zoning Ordinance; and/or
3. Beltrami County may lawfully continue the gravel pit operations in parcel 48.00100.00 as grand-fathered and permitted to continue without a CUP as a legal nonconforming use within the meaning of the Township Ordinance and Minn. Stat. § 462.357, Subd. 1e.
The Turtle River Town Board will consider the matter at a special meeting and public hearing held via Zoom on March 25, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. from the Turtle River Town Hall & Community Center, 9983 South Arm Court, Bemidji, MN 56601. A link to the meeting will be available on the township website.
