Art and Judy Lee marked their 60th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20. They were married in 1955 in central Wisconsin in their hometown of Scandinavia. They began married life in Osseo, Wis., where Art was a social studies teacher in their high school. In 1959, they moved to Bemidji when Art joined the faculty of Bemidji State University. This summer, their three children and five grandchildren came from considerable distances to Bemidji and joined in their parents’ marriage celebration. From Tucson came Scott; from Seattle came Kristen (husband Rick) and their three children; from Grimstad, Norway, came Karin (husband Bjørn) and their two sons. Judy and Art are active members in First Lutheran Church; both sang in their choir for over twenty-five years.
