A swearing-in ceremony was conducted in the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office Law Enforcement Center Training Room Wednesday, Oct. 6, as Sheriff Phil Hodapp administered the oath of deputy sheriff to Rob Fraik, with his family, friends and colleagues in attendance.
Fraik was formerly a Beltrami County Sheriff's corrections transport officer. He is also a member of the Minnesota National Guard.
Fraik was hired to fill a position vacated earlier this year by two retiring deputies. Deputy Greg Winskowski recently retired after 10 years of service to Beltrami County and a total of 32 years of experience in law enforcement. Earlier in the year, an investigator retired from the Sheriff's Office with 29 years of experience.
