PARK RAPIDS -- Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific” is one of the most popular musicals of all time and is running for a limited time starting Wednesday night in Park Rapids.

The musical, known for such memorable songs such as “Some Enchanted Evening,” “I’m Going to Wash that Man Right Out of My Hair” and “Bali Ha’i” is presented by the Northern Light Opera Co., and will run at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and a 3 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Aug. 5.

The cast includes many Bemidji actors and singers as “South Pacific” does indeed transport “you back in time to a WWII setting while watching interactions between American troops and nurses with the local South Pacific inhabitants,” a release said.

Seating is limited, so get tickets now at Beagle and Wolf Books in Park Rapids or
