Suzy and Jon Langhout of Suzy and Hondo Dance Studios recently led nine students through round one of the Bronze Medal Exams on the Dance Vision International Dance Association Curriculum.
During the exam process men and women tested, with Suzy and Hondo Langhout partnering. Each examinee performed between two and six figures of up to six ballroom dances, including: foxtrot, tango, waltz, cha-cha, rumba, mambo, Viennese waltz or merengue. Overseeing the process was DVIDA National Examiner Scott Anderson of Minneapolis.
Completing the exam process were Barry Albert Nelson, honors and high honors in waltz, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba and east coast swing - Level 1 Bronze; Stephanie Shearen, scoring honors in waltz, Viennese waltz, rumba, foxtrot - Level 2 bronze; Mark Johnson, scoring honors and high honors in waltz, Viennese waltz and foxtrot - Level 1 Bronze; Tia Langhout, scoring honors and high honors in waltz, tango, foxtrot, rumba, cha cha, east coast swing - Level 1 Bronze; Erik Sorensen, scoring honors in waltz, Viennese waltz - Level 1 Bronze; Eric Sorensen, scoring honors in Waltz, Viennese Waltz - Level 1 Bronze; Alex Fenson, scoring honors and high honors in waltz, foxtrot, tango - Level 1 and 2 Bronze; Sarah Pugh, scoring honors and high honors in waltz, Viennese waltz, rumba, foxtrot - Level 1 and 2 Bronze; Scott Anderson (DVIDA Examiner) and Marisa Sorensen scoring honors in waltz, Viennese waltz, tango and fox trot - Level 1 Bronze.
