BEMIDJI — Watermark Art Center will hold a class to create woven hanging birch bark on Saturday, April 2, at Watermark, 505 Bemidji Ave. N.
During the class, taught by Duluth artist Elena Bantle, students will learn to make hanging stars from birch bark as well as how to properly harvest bark from birch trees, a release said.

Students will also have the opportunity to learn several examples of what can be accomplished using the weaving technique.
The class fee is $50 for adults ages 15 and older. Participants can register for either the morning or afternoon session of the class.
