Water issues topic of next ALL presentation

BEMIDJI -- Bemidji Adventures in Lifelong Learning begins October with “Water: what’s in it, on it, under it, with it? Whose is it?” by Miriam Rios-Sanchez, internationally known hydrogeologist, who will present data on water in northern Minnesota reflecting on those questions and more. The event is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Beltrami Electric Cooperative, 4111 Technology Drive NW.

Rios-Sanchez formerly, managed the hydrogeology team at Columbia Geological Services. A graduate of Michigan Tech, she now teaches courses at BSU courses such as “geophysics.” Rios Sanchez has just been awarded a Bush grant to update BSU geology department for digitization of water data. All are welcome to the event. Refreshments available at 9:30 a.m.

ALL: Adventures in Lifelong Learning is organized exclusively to provide opportunities for continued lifelong learning in the Bemidji area. It is intended that ALL programs will assist participants to improve their critical thinking skills and appreciate the diversity of human experience through presentation, a release said.
