VFW announces essay contests winners

Veterans of Foreign Wars members recently announced the winners of the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest sponsored by the Harold Baggenstoss Post 1260 in Bemidji.

Veterans of Foreign Wars members recently announced the winners of the Voice of Democracy Essay Contest sponsored by the Harold Baggenstoss Post 1260 in Bemidji.

Lauren Berg placed first with $100, second-place was Max Brown with $75, Kayla Henrickson as third-place winner $50, and fourth-place Camille McDermott with a medallion and certificate of participation. Other student winners received a medal and certificates honoring them.

The theme for the essay contest was "America: Where do we go from here?" All four participating seniors have a 4.2 GPA.
