Eighteen youth in the Turtle River Tall Pines 4-H Club gathered recently for their monthly meeting to make tie-blankets to spread kindness to a couple of area care centers.
The youth, along with parent volunteers, constructed 10 fleece tie-blankets. Four of the blankets were given to residents at the Good Samaritan Society in Blackduck and six blankets were given to Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji, a release said.
The blanket activity was a service project geared to give back to local communities.
Turtle River Tall Pines 4-H Club is affiliated with Beltrami County 4-H. The club meets at the Old Salem Hall in Turtle River on the third Sunday of each month.
