Seven dance students at the Suzy and Hondo School of Dance recently earned their first diplomas for their dancing accomplishments.
Four red banners for partner dancing and three red banners for line dancing have been awarded.
The Partner Dance RED level one diplomas were awarded to Ashely Houle and Davis Druckman, and Mike and Sonja Connell.
The Line Dance RED level one diplomas were awarded to Mary Miller, Ruth Walters and Joe Busta.
The students at the dance studio now have the opportunity to track their progress and earn individual diplomas in three different categories: Partner Dance, Line Dance and Folk Dance as part of the 12-part system called Island of Dance that Suzy and Hondo have developed for completing the social dance essentials.

Suzy and Hondo have about 70 years of combined dance experience between them, most of it teaching and they have a background in hundreds of dances. Their greatest joy is to hear their students tell them of their “ah-hah” moment after learning how to dance, the release said.
