Falcon View Connections Academy 2022-2023 enrollment open

WABASHA — Enrollment for Falcon View Connections Academy, a tuition-free, full-time public virtual school is open for the 2022-23 school year.

The academy offers students throughout the state an individualized approach to education in an online learning environment, a release said.

"Learning from home or anywhere there is an internet connection, students work closely with Minnesota-certified teachers specially trained in online instruction," the release said. "Teachers develop individualized learning plans that help nurture each student’s strengths while providing additional support in areas of need."

Local students inducted into BSU nursing program

BEMIDJI — The following area students were officially welcomed into Bemidji State's four-year track nursing program during an induction ceremony on Feb. 19.


Bemidji: Justice Bohlman, Nicole Donley, Anita Elobuike, Teri Girtz, Megan Hanson, Cole Johnson, Laura Melou'ou Eyenga, Lindsey Theis and Makayla Wickham.

Solway: Tessa Tramm.

Turtle River: Alanna Willard.

The student nurses had their name badges attached to their nursing polos by faculty and signed the Nightingale Pledge in front of family and friends in BSU's Beaux Arts Ballroom.

Bemidji students named to College of Saint Benedict dean's list

ST. JOSEPH — Ella Martin and Emma Muller of Bemidji were recently named to the dean's list at the College of Saint Benedict in St. Joseph for achieving a GPA of 3.8 or higher during the fall 2021 semester.

COLLEGEVILLE — Riley Berg, Matt Gish and James Seims of Bemidji were recently named to the dean's list at Saint John's University in Collegeville for achieving a GPA of 3.8 or higher during the fall 2021 semester.
