BEMIDJI — The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will hold Yoga and Smoothie classes from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday, May 4-18, at the Historic Carnegie Library, 314 Fourth St. NW.
Participants will practice bright and light yoga postures that awaken energy for renewal, rejuvenation and well-being, a release said.
"Enjoy a spa-like ambiance throughout the space with luxurious essential oils diffused during class and tranquil music playing softly," the release said. "Afterward, enjoy the comfort of sangha (community). Bring your fuzzy slippers and travel blanket to sit back and relax with an ayurvedic smoothie that compliments the season."
The smoothies are vegan and gluten-free. Classes are for all levels of experience.
Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle. The cost per participant is $47 for the three-week session.
