Parks and Rec to hold community bike ride Aug. 6

The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will hold a community bike ride from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 6, at South Shore Beach, 527 Lake Shore Drive NE.

BEMIDJI — The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department will host a "Biking Together To Connect Family, Friends and Community" ride from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 6, at South Shore Beach, 527 Lake Shore Drive NE.

League Cycling Instructor Natalie Gille will conduct a brief safety lesson and lead the bike ride. After the ride, the group will have an optional ice cream social at the local ice cream shop, a release said.

There is no cost to participate in the ride, but riders will need to purchase their own ice cream.
