BEMIDJI -- The city of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of festive activities to celebrate Valentine's Day.
The activities are:
- The Valentine’s Day Party kit: Perfect for those who love to craft and bake. The kit comes with six different crafts, cupcakes and decorations to help decorate for the season. There are enough supplies for two participants and the cost is $15 per kit. To register, visit

- Family Valentine’s Celebration: The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. (drop-in anytime) on Sunday, Feb. 13, in the Tourist Information Center, 300 Bemidji Ave. N. It includes crafts, scavenger hunts, snacks and snowshoeing. The cost to participate is $10 per family. To register, visit

- Sweetheart Snowshoe: The event will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, at the Tourist Information Center. The cost to participate is $10 per couple.
