Operation Round Up funds awarded to community organizations

A total of $44,101 and 36 grants were recently awarded to community organizations thanks to the generosity of Beltrami Electric Cooperative members and the Operation Round Up program.

A total of $44,101 and 36 grants were recently awarded to community organizations thanks to the generosity of Beltrami Electric Cooperative members and the Operation Round Up program.

Operation Round Up is a charitable program unique to electric cooperatives and is designed to give co-op members a means of working together to use their small change to make a big impact in their local communities, a release said.

To date, the Beltrami Electric Cooperative Trust Board has awarded grants to 514 different community projects, totaling $524,450.
