Mask and Rose Theater recently announced Natalie Corcoran and Aspen Tobin as winners of the $1,000 Sister Song Celebration Scholarships.

Corcoran will continue with music and drama classes from a Los Angeles-based training group and Tobin plans to get into a local recording studio to record some of her original works, a release said.

The scholarships were given out at the Sister Song Celebration Concert held on the rural campus of Belle Thalia Creative Arts Space in Puposky with other female musicians performing on an outdoor stage.

This activity was made possible by the voters of Minnesota, through a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
