Sanford Health Welcomes Roger Pearce, MD, to the Internal Medicine Team
Sanford Health of Northern Minnesota welcomes Roger Pearce, MD, to the internal medicine team at the Sanford Bemidji Main Clinic.
Originally from Nevada, Dr. Pearce received his undergraduate from the University of Nevada in Reno. He attended medical school at the Ross University School of Medicine in the Commonwealth of Dominica.
Dr. Pearce was first introduced to the upper Midwest during his internal medicine residency with the University of North Dakota in Fargo. Shortly thereafter, he accepted a clinic practice position with Clearwater Health Services in 2003 and has made Clearwater County his home ever since.
Prior to joining Sanford Health, Dr. Pearce held multiple medical director positions for Clearwater County Memorial Hospital, the Greensview Care Center/Cornerstone Nursing and Rehab in Bagley, MN, and the Good Samaritan Society Skilled Nursing Facility in Clearbrook, MN. Dr. Pearce joined the Sanford Health family in 2008 as an internist at the Sanford Thief River Falls Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN, before coming to Bemidji.
Dr. Pearce is available for referral specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of internal organ systems including adult health exams; medication management; and care for anything from colds and the flu to diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, hypertension, heart disease and thyroid disease.
“As an internist a lot of my patients receive regular care for their chronic conditions. Because of this, I have the ability to really get to know my patients and help tailor their care to their individual needs and help them with whatever their condition may be,” said Dr. Pearce. “It’s this trusted connection with my patients that I enjoy the most.”
A member of the Clearwater County community for almost two decades, Dr. Pearce has come to treasure Minnesota rural living and the outdoor activities that come with it, including fishing and hunting. With this transition to Sanford Bemidji, Dr. Pearce is excited to work closer to his home and have more flexibility to spend time with his wife, three daughters and two sons as they become more active in school and community activities.
